The University of Fukui has academic exchange agreements with more than 50 universities and institutions all over the world. (Academic exchange agreements)

The University of Fukui Short-term Student Exchange Promotion Program invites exchange students from those universities and institutions to the University of Fukui. The exchange students study at the University for six months or one year, and study not only Japan and the Japanese language, but also various academic fields. Approximately 30 exchange students come to the university every year and deepen their knowledge and understanding of Japan and their major subjects.

The University of Fukui Short-term Student Exchange Program offers two kinds of programs.

A. The University of Fukui Student Exchange Program (UFSEP)

This is a one year program from October to September, and provides international students courses about the Japanese language and Japanese affairs, and courses and research instruction in various fields in English. • Electric Engineering, Computer Science, and Intelligent Systems

Graduate students conduct their research at one of the University of Fukui’s graduate schools. Enrollment is currently open to 20 students per year. Please read the UFSEP Catalog for more information
